While we served a roast for the wine tasting, it was a compromise for such a large group. The following is the traditional "Tuscan Fiorentina."

Get the butcher to cut a T-bone steak 1 1/2 inches thick (This will be about 2 pounds)
Olive oil
Salt & pepper
Lemon quarters

Brush the steak liberally with olive oil & salt & pepper. Heat the grill to medium hot. Grill the entire steak in one piece until medium rare. Remove and cut into 6-8 pieces, keeping the original shape of the steak on a large platter. Serve with lemon quarters.

This usually serves 6 people, more if you are having a typical italian dinner with many courses.

Wine: Serve with a good red wine. We were lucky enough to have a Brunello di Montalcino!!
